Chamber activities

My job: Secretary of Board for foreign economic relations, Board for quality and environment and Association for banks and insurance.
Organization structure: Regional chamber of economy Valjevo is an independent, non governmentlal business association and representativeof vital economic interests of companies,banks and other legal subjects.The authorities of chamber are: The president, Chamber Assembly,Managing Board, Supervisory Board,Court of honour.The forms of organization and work are: nine Associations in all economic activities-industry, agriculture,building construction,trade,tourism,catering,transport,public utility,entrepreneurship,banks,insurance, then four Boards:for science,development and innovation,economic relations with foreign countries, for quality, and also five Counsellors:for presentation of Region, education,rectructuring and privatization and management.Chamber departments are in Šabac and Loznica.Chamber has 24 employees.
My role in organization and activities: monitoring and analyzing foreign trade, effects of regulations,laws,measures of econimic policy, establishment and development off all types of business relations with foreign countries, promotion of regional economy abroad through international fairs,exibitions,business meetings,missions,presentations, providing useful business information about companies,laws,credit lines,benefits,advanced training of personnel, and other activities of interes for our members.
Projects in which I am working:National Exibition Moscow Serbia 2005, Partners-Eurochamber initiative, Customs Law seminar, Regional workshop on valuation and management of intellectual property assets in SMEs and entrepreneurships, studying process of trade liberalizations,Free Trade Agreements, WTO, EU, preparing for public authority issuing of certificates...
Good aspects : possibilities to receive advanced training in internationa trade promotion, chamber services, best practisis. and other areas specially to improve effectiveness,to streengthen capacity, in aim to satisfy the needs of members,facilities for busuness travellers, for introducing foreign parners, chambers, associations, NGO, companies, cultures etc.
Bad aspects : unmeasurable results of chambers services and activities, impossibility to satisfy all interest of its memebers, very often impossibility to representative interest in front of republic authorities, under-developed mind about transition, privatization, restrusturing, transition and reform process, working time -longer than usually.
